Assistant Director, Volunteer Learning and DevelopmentFull-time Permanent Details: Are you a dynamic communicator with a passion for education and training? Are you ready to play a vital role in enhancing emergency services and community safety?We are seeking a dedicated individual to join us as Assistant Director of Learning and Development. In this role, you will be instrumental in advancing the capabilities of the members of the ACT Rural Fire Service (ACTRFS) and ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES).As Assistant Director, you will lead our Learning and Development team in designing and implementing a range of programs aimed at enhancing skills acquisition, maintenance, and professional growth. Your strategic insights will drive the identification of training needs of both the ACTRFS and ACTSES and the seamless execution of tailored solutions to meet those needs.Collaboration will be key, as you work closely with our Membership Team and Emergency Services Agency Training to foster strong relationships that bolster the operational readiness of our emergency services. Your exceptional communication and negotiation skills will be pivotal in maintaining positive engagement across teams, membership, and the broader ACT Emergency Services Agency (ACTESA).To excel in this role, you will have expertise in adult education design and development, along with a solid understanding of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector.
