The Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) is currently seeking applications for an Assistant Director – Technology Management, to join the Enterprise Technology Group (ETG) .This position can be located in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney or Perth.
Remuneration: The annual salary for the position is EL1- $113,357 - $133,423 p.a., plus a generous employer superannuation contribution of 15.4%.
This position will be non-ongoing for 12 months with the possibility of extension to ongoing.
About the opportunity: The Assistant Director is primarily responsible for guiding the successful implementation and delivery of the ICT strategy and the operations to achieve the goals. This will include the outcomes of the AAT corporate plan by demonstrating the definitive benefits realisation both effectively and efficiently.
You will also lead the performance of the AAT's ICT technical delivery teams. The role will deliver actions and insights into innovation, performance and achieving high quality service delivery and technical products.

About you: To be successful you will require:
A clear understanding of and demonstrated experience in developing and communicating implementation plans to drive strategy (and related change planning). Demonstrated experience managing the design, procurement, operation, control, maintenance, and use of technology services, achieving required service levels, security requirements, quality standards performance monitoring, and alignment of process and practice (across teams). Experience in aligning plans, work packages and deliverables with expected benefits and ensuring appropriate measurement of benefits and user value from technology services. Demonstrated capability in workforce planning to ensure the availability of skilled resources to meet objectives and commitments, including undertaking current versus future state skills assessment. Experience managing suppliers to meet key performance indicators and agreed targets, and ensuring potential disputes or conflicts are raised and resolved. Knowledge of developing innovative processes to drive innovation, including encouraging and motivating teams and individuals to share creative ideas and learn from failure. Mandatory: Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.
Desirable: Academic qualification (degree, postgraduate) in technology and/or aligned qualifications Vocational certification in modern technologies (e.g., cloud, software, platforms) Vocational certification in software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, XP, SAFe) Vocational certification in modern design and governance frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT) Position Eligibility Requirements: The AAT requires Australian Citizenship as a condition of engagement.
