The Role

St Nicholas Early Education supports and partners with families to nurture and inspire children as they develop the skills to flourish at home, in care and in communities.

The Assistant Director will assist and support the Director in management tasks and lead educators towards quality performance in all aspects at St Nicholas.
The Assistant Director will also be responsible for the Operation and Management of the St Nicholas service in the absence of the Director.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Educator to showcase their expertise in the Early Childhood profession.
The successful applicant will play a key role in the success of our Newcastle West Centre and will be able to collaborate with the St Nicholas leadership team.
They will also possess the initiative, maturity, and leadership skills required to build a team and service in a growing community.

This role is being offered on a permanent full-time basis, located at our Newcastle West Service.

Skills and Experiences:
EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA

Proven ability in all areas of administrative procedure, curriculum development, parent and community liaison, staff professional development and trainingUnderstanding and working knowledge of WHS legislationDemonstrated knowledge of services requirements of the CCSS (childcare subsidy system) and ability to perform software application for complianceDemonstrated ability to successfully support the Early Learning Years Framework with the centre curriculumPrevious experience in successfully managing a budget for an Early Education CentreQUALIFICATIONS

Diploma in Children's Services or Degree in Early Childhood Teaching as identified by Australian Children's Education and care AuthorityWorking With Children Check verification numberCurrent First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management trainingDEC approved child protection training certificateIf you genuinely share our passion for Early Childhood Education we would love to hear from you!
