They provide technical leadership in evaluation, project and change management and have responsibility for the state's inclusion agenda including, but not limited to, young people, carers, volunteers and LGBTIQA+.
Role Details The Assistant Director, Social Inclusion Policy and Partnerships is a role within Inclusion Policy and Reform Directorate and is accountable to the Director for:
Providing strategic leadership, management and expert advice relating to the state inclusion agenda for LGBTIQA+, carers, volunteers and youth, to support implementation of critical initiatives including carers review, SA Volunteering Strategy and the Youth Action Plan. Developing and maintaining constructive relationships with management, executive and staff across the Department, other agencies, and representatives from the community services sector, and stakeholders. Managing sensitive issues and negotiations with key stakeholders and registered organisations, staff and senior management. Providing project leadership which ensures proper project management methodology is utilised and key issues and risks are identified with effective mitigation strategies developed. Special Conditions National Police Check required.
Some out of hours work may be required.
Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) contract role for commencement early-mid January 2025 with date to be negotiated.
Tertiary qualifications in behavioural and social sciences, law or other relevant disciplines is desirable.
