This role is being advertised as both ongoing and non-ongoing, with the employment type to be determined in negotiation with the preferred candidate and the NIAA delegate. Where a non-ongoing specified term is offered, this would be for an initial period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of extension up to a maximum period of two years. A non-ongoing offer may result in conversion to an ongoing offer of employment; however, this must occur within 18 months from the opening date of this advertisement.

The Opportunity: This role will provide strategic support to the Reform and Reconciliation section to drive a number of key initiatives the team is responsible for, including the development of a strategy to drive, embed and evaluate PR3 (Closing the Gap, Priority Reform 3) across the Commonwealth Public Service. The role will also take a lead project management role to ensure the success of a number of complex interdependent projects (for example, implementation of the allyship toolkit, implementation of the PR3 monitoring and evaluation framework), while providing strategic support to the Indigenous Champions Network (ICN), including the identification and mitigation of risks associated with these projects.
