Our Federal Government Client Seeks an Assistant Director, Financial Systems.
This is a non-ongoing role for 12 months located in Canberra with flexible working arrangements. Other locations may be considered (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, etc) as long as you are amenable to travel to Canberra on a monthly basis. As the Assistant Director, Financial Systems, you'll play a crucial role in leading and managing the implementation of a new Financial Management Information System (TechnologyOne). You'll provide technical advice, supervise a team, and ensure the successful integration of this critical system.
Key Responsibilities: Project manage the design and implementation of the new Financial Management Information System (TechnologyOne).Manage and configure TechnologyOne and Expense8 systems.Develop and run SQL queries for data extracts, analysis, and audit inquiries.Create dashboards and reports for senior leadership.Lead the data migration process and master data management.Supervise and develop a small team.Provide expertise and technical knowledge in Financial Systems.Manage the ongoing development, implementation, system performance, and quality assurance of financial management systems and processes.Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Prioritize workloads and ensure timely completion of tasks.Conduct quality assurance reviews and provide customer service.Prepare and approve end-of-month processes.
You're the Ideal Candidate if You Have: Proven experience in Financial Management Information Systems Administration.Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Meticulous attention to detail.Ability to work effectively in high-pressure and changing environments.Ability to work independently and apply strategic thinking for decision making.Strong written and verbal communication skills.An innovative mindset and a continuous improvement focus.
Desirable Skills: Experience with financial systems implementation projects.Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and standards.Experience with data migration and master data management.

Candidates must be Australian citizens and able to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance.
