Assistant Director Procurement (Redress System Improvement Taskforce) | EL1 Beaumont&Beaumont is pleased to present an opportunity for an EL1 equivalent Assistant Director Procurement (Redress System Improvement Taskforce) to join the National Redress Scheme.
This role is offered on a full-time basis, with benefits such as annual leave and personal leave accrual.
The Redress System Improvement Taskforce is seeking an individual with procurement expertise (preferably within Commonwealth Government), to take the lead on procurement work within the section.
The Taskforce will be responsible for managing research elements of the Intake and Triage Service project, which is a budget measure that will assist with progressing applications.
The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting complex procurement activities and strong leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders which will demonstrate their ability to work collaboratively across the Group and Department.
What you will do Conduct high-level market research and analysis.
Develop and implement procurement plans to aid in sensitive Redress procurement activities.
Ensure that all activities are conducted in line with policy, governance, probity and legislated requirements.
Create and manage essential documentation, including Requests for Tender and Request for Quotes, to facilitate effective procurement processes.
Actively establish, develop and manage key stakeholder relationships within and outside the Department.
Oversee strategic management reporting on the procurements, contributing to complex/sensitive corporate documentation, reports, submissions and briefs.
Demonstrate experience in a similar role along with detailed knowledge of Commonwealth Procurement Rules, financial legislation, standards, policies, and guidelines.
Understand the process and probity rules for conducting Market Research.
Provide advice on Limited/Open tender timeframes and what is required, such as probity advisor and commercial law clearances.
Understand procurement risks and mitigation strategies.
Be proactive and use problem-solving and influencing skills to resolve procurement issues in a timely manner with high attention to detail.
Manage multiple priorities simultaneously and be comfortable working in an environment of changing priorities with competing timeframes and be receptive to new ideas.
Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Have experience working in the Commonwealth Government Procurement environment.
Have a sound understanding (or ability to acquire an understanding) of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013.
Understand the Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
Understand the evaluation of programs and initiatives.
All applicants must be an Australian citizen and be eligible to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance from an Australian vetting agency.
