As the Assistant Director at Goodstart New Lambton, you'll leverage your expertise and leadership to inspire and motivate your centre team, driving continuous improvement across all areas of centre operations. Collaborate with our dedicated leadership team, forge respectful and reciprocal relationships with families, and actively engage with the local community networks.
In this role, you will: Support the Centre Director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care Mentor and build capabilities within the centre team Be responsible for the overall management of the centre in the Centre Director's absence Use and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide About Goodstart New Lambton: Located in the peaceful yet central suburb of New Lambton, just a quick 5-minute drive from John Hunter Hospital, Goodstart New Lambton is perfectly placed for convenience. We're close to local primary schools and have great cafes nearby, ideal for a coffee run! Our small, close-knit team of 10 passionate Early Childhood Professionals are dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming, and diverse environment where both staff and children thrive.
Temporary, fixed-term position until August 2025 Enjoy a Rostered Day Off (RDO) for that perfect work-life balance A flexible floating role to support the needs of our Centre 2 hours each week dedicated to your Professional Development as an Assistant Director Rotating roster , giving you variety, with shifts between 6:30am – 6pm Work in a small, close-knit 43-place Centre with just 3 rooms, making it the perfect space to truly connect with the children and your team. You'll need: A Diploma or bachelor's in early childhood education Hold a current NSW Working with Children Check, or be willing to obtain one Experience with leading and managing change within education, health, or community services Experience in delivering integrated early childhood services in areas of disadvantage Proven commercial acumen with financial and operational performance management How to apply Click 'Apply Now' and submit your application.
