Assistant Director, Invasive Species
Full-time TemporaryDetails: This is an exciting temporary opportunity to work within a small and diverse team responsible for developing and reviewing ACT policies, strategies, plans and legislation related to agriculture, biosecurity and invasive species.
Under limited direction, some of the responsibilities of the role will include:
Provide high-level policy and strategic advice to senior management and the Minister on invasive species, biosecurity and related matters, including preparing ministerial briefs, submissions and correspondence;Undertake high-level communication, negotiation, representation and liaison with Commonwealth, state and territory governments and other key stakeholders;Provide policy advice to, and perform secretariat functions for, biosecurity committees convened by EPSDD.The ACT Public Service supports workforce diversity and is committed to creating an inclusive workplace.
