Immigration Compliance Intelligence Branch, within Immigration Group, provides intelligence and collection services that support the delivery of Australia's immigration, citizenship, and border programs.Our Branch has five teams:The Border Watch program collects, triages, assesses and refers border related allegations to risk owners across the Department and ABFThe Character Intelligence section conducts intelligence analysis focused on people who present a threat to Australia's migration systemThe Compliance, Liaison and Engagement section works with partners to manage complex and sensitive cases on migration, traveller and customs mattersImmigration Compliance and Enforcement Intelligence section delivers, integrated, direct intelligence support to the ABF and the Australian Taxation OfficeOperation AEGIS Intelligence supports joint ABF and Australian Federal Police operations in response to the recent High Court judgement on immigration detention.Demonstrated experience as an intelligence analyst and leading teams in an Intelligence environmentDisciplined and analytical with logical and lateral critical reasoningFlexible and able to adapt to changing intelligence prioritiesAbility to perform well under pressurePersonal integrity, discretion and strength of conviction.C

ommitment to ongoing, role-specific subject matter expertiseEvidence-based decision making with attention to accuracySelf-aware of own strengths and weaknessesCommitment to developing team capability.Duties and responsibilitiesManage or coordinate the allocation and prioritisation of intelligence capability in keeping with intelligence production requirements and resource capacities.Oversee the development of highly complex or sensitive intelligence products that support valid and reliable assessments of a wide range of threats to Australia's migration system.Engage with senior level stakeholders across national and international intelligence and law enforcement agencies to foster greater collaboration, leverage partner capabilities, and ensure flow of mission critical information.Manage intelligence collection activities to ensure compliance with legislated and jurisdictional laws, policies, guidelines and standards.Provide high level analytical advice and support to operational teams or partner agencies regarding complex investigation/intelligence scenarios.Additional informationMandatory RequirementsIntelligence Analysts require a minimum of a Baseline (Protected) security clearance.
