About The Organisation:Handles key sectors, oversees sustainability initiatives, supports trade, and manages operations critical to national resources and safety.About The Role:Seeking an Assistant Director to lead scheduling process improvements, drive change initiatives, collaborate with stakeholders, and strengthen biosecurity operations.Classification/ Level: EL1Location: Multiple Location (ACT, NSW, NT, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC, WA)Contract duration: 5 months with 2 x 6-month extensionsMandatory requirements:Baseline Clearance or Ability to obtain onePolice CheckSelection Criteria responseKey Responsibilities:Review, assess, and document end-to-end scheduling and deployment processes.Identify and address gaps in policy, procedures, and instructional materials.Develop and implement innovative solutions for operational improvements.Define roles, responsibilities, and ownership of critical scheduling activities.Assess and realign portal support functions for optimal alignment with operations and industry linkages.Advise leadership on improvement opportunities across biosecurity pathways.Develop training and verification frameworks to support staff.Create mechanisms for maintaining current instructional and decision-support materials.Manage competing priorities to deliver on complex project outcomes.Foster a culture of inclusivity, safety, and high performance.Required Skills & Experience:Strong understanding of process analysis, improvement, and change management.Demonstrated ability in project coordination with successful operational outcomes.High-level writing skills for briefings, policies, and technical documentation.Experience delivering operational change and navigating workplace ambiguity.Strategic problem-solving and analytical skills, particularly in evaluating technical and policy documents.Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities.Proven ability to prioritise, adapt to dynamic environments, and focus on outcomes.Desirable:Tertiary qualifications in administration design, project or change management, or equivalent experience.For more details or a confidential discussion about the Assistant Director role, click 'APPLY NOW' or contact Alyanna Ensenado at 0261137521.
