This function is foundational to the delivery of a high standard of healthcare to Defence's greatest asset: its people.This role supports the Defence Health Learning Management Authority component of Commander Joint Health's accountabilities and authorities. Health training and education is an essential element for the workforce fundamental input to capability and supports Commander Joint Health as the Capability Manager for Health, which includes health workforce.Our Ideal CandidateFor this learning management role, we seek a candidate with proven experience in training analysis and development, managing teams, and collaborating with multiple organisations to identify and meet training needs. The ideal candidate will possess a tertiary qualification in education, high standards of leadership and communication; they should be strategic thinkers with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.Essential skills include proficiency in instructional design and adult learning principles, robust project management abilities, and expertise with learning management systems. Enthusiasm for innovation and practical approaches to meet Defence's training requirements for a proficient and reputable trained health workforce are also critical to this role. Preferably, the candidate has extensive experience with Defence and/or health, particularly regarding various workforce training demands.The ideal candidate will be familiar with the industry frameworks in tertiary and vocational education and experience with the ADDIE instructional design model, which stands for Analyse, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate.
