About the RoleWe are seeking an Assistant Director to lead the GST Policy unit in providing strategic policy advice to the Tasmanian Government on GST-related matters. In this role, you will lead a small team to direct strategic policy advice to the Tasmanian Government on GST-related matters.

About YouYou will be a motivated and capable individual with sound judgement combined with excellent analytical and communication skills. Your strong skills, knowledge and experience will enable you to strategically direct research, deliver projects, and provide advice to Government regarding GST policy and revenue.
In doing so, you will use your excellent stakeholder engagement skills to work through complex issues and negotiate outcomes with senior members of other agencies and Government businesses.
Your success requires the ability to lead the development of analysis and policy advice on complex issues; define and develop recommendations; clearly articulate difficult technical issues to stakeholders; and demonstrate leadership and initiative in a team environment.
Hours per fortnightUp to 73.5 - hours flexible - talk to us about how this could work for you. We are open to considering a range of flexible work options including part-time hours.
