Assistant Director, Governance and Risk
Full-time Permanent Details: Corporate provides a range of strategic, governance, organisational development, administrative and human resource functions for the Chief Minister and Treasury and Economic Development Directorate (Directorate). It administers the governance framework, corporate policies, audit and compliance assurance programs, as well as drives our strong risk framework including supporting business continuity, emergency management and protective security.
Corporate are seeking an organised and driven Assistant Director, Governance and Risk who will be responsible for managing the development and delivery, along with testing, maintenance, training and reporting, for key strategic corporate policies and frameworks and plans, including for risk management, business continuity, crisis management, disaster recovery and emergency management, and associated activities within CMTEDD.
In addition, the role supports the broader team with the development and implementation of governance policy and frameworks, fraud prevention, gifts and hospitality and travel, as well as support to the internal audit function.
The role supports risk management activities, including reviewing and updating documents, providing advice, coordinating workshops and supporting reporting requirements.

A qualification in risk management or a recognised management discipline is desirable. Notes: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. This position will be based in a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
