Assistant Director - Governance and Corporate CoordinationGreenway ACT
An exciting opportunity is available for a highly motivated strategic thinker and solutions-focused governance and corporate professional to work in the Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Commission.
Supporting the Director Governance and Corporate Coordination, you will have the ability to work independently, drawing on your experience and understanding of public sector governance, performance and accountability requirements, including compliance with relevant legislation, standards and guidelines.
The position will be responsible for the strategising, planning, coordination and reporting of the Commission's governance and corporate obligations including but not limited to:
planning and performancegovernance, risk and auditfinanceprocurement, contract management and travelHR, WHS, recruitment, learning and developmentprivacy and FoIoversight and reporting relating to ongoing legislative requirementsCommission reports, policies, processes and briefs.Your exceptional communication and negotiation skills, collaborative work style and can-do attitude will contribute to the delivery of the Commission's corporate services and manage the Commission's relationships with its shared services provider.
If you possess strong strategic and stakeholder engagement skills and have experience and understanding of public sector governance including the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013, we strongly encourage you to apply.
The key duties of the position include:lead the development and implementation of governance arrangements to ensure the Commission complies with relevant APS governance legislation, policies and reporting requirementsmanage the development of corporate reports, planning tools, and Commonwealth statutory reporting including the Corporate Plan, Performance Measures and Annual Reportprovide oversight and analysis of the Commission's financial arrangements with the shared services providerlead the audit and assurance activities including reporting to the Australian National Audit Office (ANAO) and the Audit and Risk Committee, and implementation of audit recommendations, fraud and risk plansmanage and support the Commission's procurements, contracts and travel activitiessupport implementation of the Commission's Enterprise Agreement and development of corporate policies.Please review the job pack for the full position description.
