The opportunity
ASIO is looking for a highly-skilled, committed and experienced senior executive with relevant experience and a demonstrated record of success to lead ASIO's Facilities Services Branch.
As an integral part of the Senior Leadership team, you will work closely with the Executive, SES colleagues, external and internal partners and stakeholders to lead and inspire teams to deliver outcomes and champion the Organisation's values and leadership behaviours. This includes providing timely and influential information to ASIO's Executive.
As the Facilities Services Branch Head, you will achieve enterprise service delivery and advisory outcomes including:
Providing strategic investment advice and planning for the breadth of the Organisation's accommodation portfolio.
Leading innovation and strategic uplift in ASIO's property program to drive efficiency and deliver outcomes.
Negotiating and managing commercial contracts and leases with a wide range of government and commercial entities to meet current and future requirements, in compliance with highest standard of procurement and probity.
Managing a portfolio of complex facility operations and maintenance services including through commercial contract services in a high security environment to deliver cost effective, safe, secure and sustainable accommodation.
Delivering a range of construction, uplift and maintenance programs to scope, time and budget.

Demonstrated experience successfully leading Facilities Services teams, to deliver high quality enterprise outcomes in a complex high-security environment.
Deep understanding of relevant legislation and standards, and commitment to work health and safety and outcomes for staff, contractors and visitors to ASIO's facilities.
Proven ability and core capabilities to prioritise and continuously adapt to deliver results in a dynamic, high-pressure and challenging environment, while engaging with risk.
Demonstrated communications skills to inspire your team and engage with stakeholders across the Organisation to deliver against ASIO's mission and enterprise-critical outcomes.
Strong representational skills to build strategic partnerships across the public and private sectors.
Demonstrated ability to uplift capability in your team, and personally adapt and develop new skills.

Employment conditions
Employment is under the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation Act 1979. Conditions of service are similar to those applying in the Australian Public Service. We recognise entitlements accrued under the Public Service Act 1999 and provide for continuation of superannuation under the Commonwealth schemes. Salary packaging arrangements are also available.
