Details: Access Canberra has several temporary Assistant Director positions available. We are looking for strong leaders with a passion for keeping our community safe.
The role of an Assistant Director in the Licensing and Registration Branch of Access Canberra supports the local community by delivering regulatory services that reflect community values and support business, community groups and individuals.
The Assistant Director is responsible for (under limited supervision):
Directing and controlling the day-to-day operations of the team including bridging operational pressures to achieve goals within a regulatory context, ensuring sound decision making and good governance;
Building, managing, and maintaining high quality collaborative and constructive relationships across the Licensing and Registrations Branch, ACT Government and relevant external entities, to drive positive outcomes, assisting with the high-level coordination and implementation of government initiatives;
Representing the Licensing and Registration Branch, Access Canberra, and ACT Government at internal and external forums;
Representing Access Canberra at high-level meetings, consultations, negotiations, and other forums with both internal and external stakeholders;
Implementing and maintaining continual improvement processes across services, operational policies and procedures, and guidance material; and
Contributing to a culture that supports the wellbeing of staff and strives to streamline processes to improve user experience and satisfaction.
