Assistant Director, Family Violence Safety Action Program The Victims of Crime Commissioner, as part of the ACT Human Rights Commission, works with the Coordinator-General for Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence, and the Domestic Violence Crisis Service, to deliver the Family Violence Safety Action Program (FVSAP).
Established in 2020, the FVSAP seeks to improve the safety of victim survivors of family and domestic violence by promoting collaboration and information sharing among justice and other agencies involved in risk assessment and management of high risk FDV cases.
The Assistant Director of the Family Violence Safety Action Program (FVSAP) will assist the Senior Director, Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV) with the day-to-day operation of the Program.
This includes working with the Senior Director to provide leadership and supervision of a multi-disciplinary team.
The Assistant Director will assist the Senior Director in preparation for, and the efficient conduct of, fortnightly collaborative meetings with program stakeholders and will provide oversight of case coordination to clients referred to the program by member agencies.
The Assistant Director will also assist the Senior Director in managing data collection and undertaking research and analysis to support improvements to the ACT's DFV service system.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: Demonstrated experience providing case coordination to a range of clients with complex needs, affected by DFV.
Experience applying, or knowledge of, risk assessment and risk management using a perpetrator pattern lens and of strategies used to create visibility or accountability of DFV perpetrators.
Demonstrated ability to manage data collection and reviews to support systemic change, with limited direction.
Demonstrated leadership and management skills, including supporting a high-performing team and an ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Understanding of the legal and service systems that interact with persons affected by, or using, DFV is highly desirable.
Notes: This is a full-time permanent position available immediately.
An order of merit or merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future similar vacancies over the next 12 months.
