The key duties of the position include:The Role
Enterprise Governance Branch has exciting and unique opportunities for motivated professionals to lead teams in Governance as a part of the strategic centre of Defence, or support to the Department's most senior decision-making forums through Enterprise Committees.
As an Assistant Director in Enterprise Committees, you will be provided with the unique opportunity to attend decision-making forums with Defence's most senior leaders.
You will lead a team to support senior leaders, manage actions and outcomes from committees, and provide strategic direction to the operation of key senior committees.
As an Assistant Director in Enterprise Governance and Accountabilities, you will be responsible for the delivery of detailed and technical policy advice in relation to complex issues around compliance with legislation and administrative policy arrangements.
You will lead a team to contribute to and develop governance reform in response to government recommendations.
It should be noted that Enterprise Committees requires a level of access to information and resources that reduces the possibility of long-term remote working arrangements.
About our TeamThe Enterprise Accountabilities and Governance Directorate establishes and manages a number of enterprise-level governance frameworks, as well as driving Defence-wide governance reform.
The team provides advice to the department on a wide range of policy topics and ensures compliance with legislation and policy directives.
Enterprise Committees is a dynamic, high-performing team who have the privilege of working directly with the Department of Defence's 'Top 4' leaders – the Secretary of Defence, the Chief of the Defence Force, The Associate Secretary of Defence, and the Vice Chief of the Defence Force.
The team enables critical decision-making that occurs through the Defence committee meeting process.
