This role is being advertised as both ongoing and non-ongoing, with the employment type to be determined in negotiation with the preferred candidate and the NIAA delegate. Where a non-ongoing specified term is offered, this would be for an initial period of up to 12 months, with possibility of extension up to a maximum period of two years. A non-ongoing offer may result in conversion to an ongoing offer of employment, however this must occur within 18 months from the opening date of this advertisement.

The Opportunity
This position offers the unique opportunity to work in locations within the NIAA South Australia region to assist, lead and shape the relationships with key partners in Indigenous communities, the Commonwealth, State Governments and private enterprise to positively influence improved Closing the Gap outcomes. The role works with a considerable degree of independence, under broad direction of the Director and has a key responsibility to manage, support and develop staff within their team. You will be part of a regional team and report directly to the Director providing support, leadership and advice. This regional and place-based focus is at the core of our work and this position requires a strong level of engagement. Working in place, the role is responsible for:

Must have a current motor vehicle driver's license and be able to undertake intra and interstate travel.
