Our Disability Division provides valuable support to the South Australian community through direct service delivery, inclusion policy and sector reform work.
As a registered NDIS provider, they supervise and help with everyday tasks to support people living with disability to live as independently as possible.
The division also encompasses quality and clinical services and the DHS Equipment Program.The Assistant Director is a role within Disability Services and is accountable to the Director, Disability Services for:Driving and guiding a team of operational staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred services that provide the best possible service to clients and families aligned with the department's goals.Interpreting and developing policies and procedures that reflect best practice standards in accordance with departmental and legal requirements.Providing leadership, performance development and management of staff, optimising the department's operational workforce and leading a culture of innovation and change with a clear commitment to improve services and systems.Effectively leading and implementing the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) service and reform changes across Disability Services and associated organisational cultural changes required while supporting, developing, and maintaining effective strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.Special Conditions:Employment-related Screening Check required.National Police Check required.Some out of hours work may be required.Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.Must hold a current Australian issued driver's licence (equivalent to minimum class C).Essential Qualifications:Incumbent must hold a tertiary qualification in Business, Leadership and Management or other relevant qualifications or have significant experience in a similar role.Additional Information:You are required to submit a cover letter, up to a maximum of 2 pages, addressing how your skills, experience and capabilities align with the role description.
