Assistant Director, Communications and Engagement
Full-time PermanentDetails: Transport Canberra and City Services (TCCS) is looking for an experienced communications and engagement specialist to join its busy communications team.
The Assistant Director of Communications and Engagement will work in a collaborative environment to drive the use of digital channels, engage the community on issues that matter to them, respond to media enquiries and proactively coordinate media opportunities, and lead the delivery of innovative marketing and communications campaigns.
The role involves a combination of marketing, community engagement, social media, issues management and media liaison.

The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills and an ability to manage a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Eligibility/Other requirements: Relevant tertiary qualifications and a minimum of five years' experience working professionally in the fields of strategic engagement, strategic communications, media or public relations is preferred.
Experience in working on waste and recycling related projects is highly desirable.

Note: This is a permanent vacancy available from July 2024. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
