Salary: EL 1 - $120,290 - $129,379

The Finance Division supports the department to be efficient, effective, and financially sustainable through our business partnerships, the Finance Service Charter and our specialist centres of excellence. The division provides financial and management advice and support to the department, the offices of the minister and assistant ministers and to industry stakeholders.
The Financial Management Branch is responsible for the ongoing financial management and performance of DCCEEW. It supports business areas to manage their budget and finances effectively through timely and accurate advice and analysis to assist the department in making decisions.
The Change Management Team supports change over specific department activities led by the Finance Division and within the Enabling Services Group. The team is responsible for partnering with line areas to communicate and manage corporate changes successfully.

The Job Responsibilities include:
Develop, implement and evaluate change management plans to ensure impacted stakeholders are ready and able to adopt the change.Prepare stakeholder impact assessments and stakeholder engagement strategies on the impacts of changes.Establish a working relationship and communicate with senior executives on financial management initiatives that have a change impact.Develop and maintain key internal and external relationships, including liaising with stakeholders on project or operational issues and responding to stakeholder needs and expectations.Work closely with project managers to integrate change management activities into project plans.Develop solutions to problems using internal and external resources and guidelines and best practice.What we are looking for Skills and capabilities Experience working on a change project in large complex departments or agencies, with experience in developing and executing change management plans.Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail.The capacity to be flexible and creative and manage multiple deadlines, sometimes under pressure.Well-developed initiative and strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to innovate and think laterally.Clearly and succinctly convey an idea, concept, or argument, focusing on key points and using appropriate, unambiguous, and persuasive language in either written or oral form.Strong influencing and collaboration skills, with the ability to develop and nurture stakeholder relationships and networks.Desirable qualifications Degree in Commerce, Management, Marketing, Organisational Psychology or Psychology.

Eligibility and other requirements Citizenship - To be eligible for employment with the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water you must be an Australian citizen.
Security Clearance - This position requires a Baseline Vetting security clearance. You will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
