Assistant Director, Capital Works and Infrastructure Projects
Full-time Temporary with a Possibility of PermanencyDetails: The Assistant Director, Capital Works and Infrastructure Projects is responsible for managing and coordinating a variety of infrastructure and planning projects, such as the ACT Policing (ACTP) capital works, ESA infrastructure projects, ACT Corrective Services (CS) projects and strategic asset management.
The Assistant Director will be self-motivated, highly organised, responsive, show initiative and resilience, and have personal drive. The Assistant Director will need to prepare end-to-end integrated project plans, schedules, status reports, and work effectively under pressure and within time deadlines to deliver high-quality professional advice and outcomes that align with strategic goals.
The Assistant Director will work effectively within a team contributing to establishing a positive work culture and continuous improvement of the team operation.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: Pre-requisite Qualifications and/or Experience: Hold a relevant professional qualification or accreditation with a professional body recognised within Australia; orHold a relevant building degree; orHave significant building or infrastructure knowledge and/or project management experience.Demonstrated relevant capital works, infrastructure master planning experience or project management is highly desirable.Understanding of Work Health and Safety Compliance principles is highly desirable.Notes: This is a temporary position available for a period of six months with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Please note, this position is in a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers do not have a designated workstation/desk. Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office-based, and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times.
