About our team: GM Technology & Major Cap Group | Major Capability | Capability Value Realisation Centre | Capability Information System Management. You will be part of the Capability Information System Management (CISM) Section. CISM manages the Enterprise Project Management System (EPMS), which enables the day-to-day management and delivery of projects and programs and provides performance information to support decision-making.
The EPMS is the source of truth for project-program-portfolio management (P3M) data. CISM provides end user EPMS training and support, and training of related P3M guidelines and frameworks. CISM also provides monthly project and program delivery and performance dashboards to a broad readership, ranging from operational managers to senior executives and governance boards. The information provided by CISM is used by other sections within the Branch, and by project and program managers to monitor delivery performance of their projects and programs. Being part of CISM provides a unique opportunity to gain an overall view of the Department's and ABF's policy, program and investment activities and how they meet policy and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities: Contribute to improving EPMS, ensuring user requirements are documented, system features are accurately built, tested and release timeframes are met. Provide technical expertise relating to portfolio, program and project reporting for operational, executive management and governance stakeholders. This includes analysing and determining the information content presented in reports and dashboards, and input into the design, build and deployment of the dashboards. Provide EPMS training and helpdesk support to the Department and ABF. Oversee work tasking and work priorities for contractors and junior staff and participate in the skills development of junior staff. Complete work function responsibilities within set timeframes to a high level of quality, efficiently manage competing priorities, allocate tasks/projects when required and act as the point of escalation for complex matters. Minimum Requirements: Experience in, or an understanding of project and program management practices, including risk management and scheduling. Experience with Project Professional and SharePoint. Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with business and ICT stakeholders to problem solve. Flexibility and responsiveness to changing priorities while maintaining focus on delivering business objectives. Ability to work well as a team member, providing support and assistance to others when needed.
