This role requires someone who is prepared to provide assistance in all aspects of running the centre.
We have an interest-based children's focus in our rooms and we are looking for a like-minded passionate Assistant Director/2IC who wants to make a real difference in the lives of children every day.
Please note, this is a Fixed-Term Full Time position until 19 December 2025. You will stand out if you: have experience in supervising in a childcare environment, working within a strength-based and family-centred approachdesire to develop warm, respectful and positive relationships with staff, children, and familieshave a genuine passion for creating a safe, secure and nurturing environmentare creative with an enthusiastic hands-on children's approachcan demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skillshave experience in developing rapport and positive working relationships with stakeholders and families from a broad range of social and cultural backgroundsPrevious experience in a similar role is advantageousIn addition to the above you will need the following to be considered for this role: as a minimum, completed a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care qualificationready to take the next step in your career by leading Educatorshold a valid Employee Working with Children Checkhold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate (Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting)successfully completed 'Protecting Children – Mandatory reporting and other obligations for the Early Childhood Sector' traininghave a well-developed understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards and National RegulationsAbout us: bestchance Child Family Care is a not-for-profit organisation with the aim of building stronger communities, healthier families, and happier childhoods.
