About the Role: Western Sydney University is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Assistant Design Manager to join our dynamic team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with 1-2 years of post-graduate experience who is passionate about design and eager to contribute to our workplace and fit-out projects.
In this role, you will primarily focus on test fits for fit-out and workplace design projects, collaborating with a variety of stakeholders to deliver high-quality design solutions.
You will be involved in conceptualizing and producing design plans, drawings, and presentations, with an emphasis on creating innovative and functional workspaces.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in the development of design solutions for workplace and fit-out projects.
Collaborate with senior designers and project teams to deliver designs that align with project goals and client expectations.
Produce high-quality drawings, plans, and renderings for test fit exercises and workplace design.
Manage and execute design tasks using AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, and InDesign.
Prepare presentations and design documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain consistent communication with clients and other project team members.
Key Skills and Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a similar role: post-graduate Interior Design or Architecture.
Proficient in AutoCAD , ArchiCAD , and InDesign .
Strong knowledge of workplace design principles, space planning, and fit-out processes.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to collaborate in a team environment while also taking initiative on individual tasks.
Ideal Candidate: A graduate degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
A keen interest in workplace design and innovation.
A proactive attitude, with a desire to learn and grow within the design field.

Tenure & salary: Initially this is a 6 month contractor with likely extension.
Pay is $420-$450 + Super per day.
Location: Monday you will be based at the Richmond Campus and you will then work 2 days from any of their Western Sydney Campuses, and have the ability to work from home 2 days per week.
