But enough about us, let's talk about you Our Seniors Centre is looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual to fill the position of Assistant Cook on a temporary part-time basis.
This role will be challenging, rewarding and innovation will be encouraged, as the team provides a high-level of food and catering services to seniors and other clients of the Seniors Centre located on Ormsby Terrace, Mandurah.
You will be responsible for: assisting the Centre Chef and other kitchen staff with the preparation, storage and distribution of food achieving a high standard of customer service ensuring corporate responsibilities are adhered to ensuring work health and safety requirements are observed and adhered to.
To be successful you will have: experience in the hospitality industry sound knowledge of FoodSafe Procedures cooking and food preparation skills knowledge of commercial cookery equipment (Commercial Cookery qualifications are highly desirable) the ability to follow directions from the Centre Chef the ability to work safely in a kitchen environment good personal hygiene good hand-eye coordination good communication and interpersonal skills the ability to work as part of a team the ability to enjoy practical, hands-on work a strong commitment to customer service and community engagement.
National Police Clearance (dated within 6 months) As part of our recruitment process, you will be required to complete a drug and alcohol test.
The finer details This temporary part-time (30 hours per week) level two (2) position attracts a pro-rata salary range of $60,395 to $67,963 gross per annum dependent on qualifications and experience.
