But enough about us, let's talk aboutyou Our Seniors Centre is looking for a talented and enthusiasticindividual to fill the position of Assistant Cook either on apermanent part-time or casual basis (dependent on the successfulapplicant's preference). 
This role will be challenging, rewarding and innovation will beencouraged, as the team provides a high-level food and cateringservice to seniors and other clients of the Centre.
You will be responsible for:
assisting the Centre Chef and other kitchen staff with thepreparation, storage and distribution of foodachieving a high standard of customer serviceensuring corporate responsibilities are adhered toensuring work health and safety requirements are observedand adhered to.To be successful you will have:
experience in the hospitality industrysound knowledge of FoodSafe Procedurescooking and food preparation skillsknowledge of commercial cookery equipment (CommercialCookery qualifications are highly desirable)the ability to follow directions from the Centre Chefthe ability to work safely in a kitchen environmentgood personal hygienegood hand-eye coordinationgood communication and interpersonal skillsthe ability to work as part of a teamthe ability to enjoy practical, hands-on worka strong commitment to customer service and communityengagement.The finer details This permanent part-time (15 hours per week) level two (2)position attracts a pro-rata salary range of $57,503 to $64,709gross per annum dependent on qualifications and experience. The casual rate, if preferred, is $34.92 per hour (inclusive ofloading).
