Early shift: Sydney time 0830-1630 (UK time 2130-0530)
Day shift: Sydney time 0900-1700 (UK time 2200-0600)
Late shift: Sydney time 1030-1830 (UK time 2330-0730)
On weekends (once every 4 weeks on average), the hours are Sydney time 0900-1800 (UK time 2200-0700). Staff work Bank Holidays and share shifts over Christmas period.

As an Assistant Content Producer, you'll be working in a live environment, developing and publishing pan-BBC curations on the interests, stories and events that matter to most of us.
Main ResponsibilitiesSupport the Content Producer and Senior Content Producer in the production of the BBC's Homepage, at bbc.co.uk.Work effectively with other departments to gather relevant materials for proactive production of time-sensitive content.Influence, negotiate, and communicate effectively both within the team and with stakeholders.Ensure all content is of a first-class standard and accurate – in keeping with audience needs and expectations.Ensure that output complies with BBC editorial, technical, design and accessibility standards and that BBC Health and Safety policy is observed.Be technically proficient to the requirements of the role or show evidence of similar skills and ability to learn.Participate in projects that support the BBC Homepage under the direction of Content Producer and Senior Content Producers, including the use of planning and organisational skills.Multi-task and prioritise, working to deadlines.Understand when to escalate.Undertake administrative duties relevant to recording and monitoring fairness, balance, and copyright-related issues.Are you the right candidate?You'll show an up-to-date understanding of and passion for UK news, sport and entertainment content and knowledge of digital audiences and their needs, wants and habits. You'll bring excellent editorial judgement, alongside extensive digital publishing experience and creative flair. You will have picture editing skills and a proven ability to choose compelling imagery to illustrate a range of content. You'll be able to demonstrate that you can use audience research and data to inform and improve your editorial choices and decisions.
Supplementing this will be your proven experience of meeting both operational and editorial demands, including breaking news. You'll also show experience of identifying and responding appropriately to editorial and legal issues and managing and recording their timely and satisfactory resolution.
