About the Opportunity  As a integral part of the kitchen team, you will be responsible for some direction and supervision of the kitchen staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Ensuring a smooth and efficient running of the kitchen operation Producing high quality and well presented meals, in line with aged care food service guidelines  Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work environment Eagerness to assist with all aspects of kitchen service About You You will have previous experience running a kitchen and leading staff on a day-to-day basis. The successful candidate will show integrity in relation to their work and be passionate about producing high quality food. You will have:   Knowledge of Food Safety practices and standards Previous experience working in an Aged Care environment (preferred but not essential) Ability to motivate others, and maintain a positive and efficient team Excellent time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure Empathy and respect for residents and staff  Certificate IV in cookery.  You must also be willing to obtain a National Police Certificate before commencing employment as well as a functional assessment.
