About the roleReporting into the Category Buying Manager, we have an exciting role available within our fastest growing category; RTD (Ready to Drink) and Cider, for an Assistant Category Buying Manager to join our team.
You will work closely with the Category Buying Manager and will be accountable for assisting them in growing profitable category sales, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and supporting the customer-centric category strategy.
What you'll be doingOn a day-to-day basis, you'll be responsible for trade and promotional planning, leveraging commercial analysis to drive these areas.
You'll also:
Gain data-driven insights to shape the promotional and trade plans in the category.Manage the collection, input, and maintenance of all category data, including promotional systems, data systems, and new lines.Assist in the execution of the category's pricing, promotion, range selection, and layout development.Develop strong supplier relationships to effectively partner and execute goals.Manage administration duties; embracing integrity issues, clearance requests, and data integrity investigations.Assist in management of key processes for assigned category including marketing brief and sign off on content and accuracy.About you and your skillsWe are looking for a candidate with a strong commercial acumen, experience working within an FMCG and/or retail environment, and strong knowledge of the merchandising function and processes.
You'll also need:
