Key Responsibilities As the Assistant CLLO you will specifically:
Demonstrate cultural capability and/or a commitment to developing cultural capability to ensure an inclusive culture that aligns with the Human Rights Act 2019 and supports departmental programs and community partnerships aimed at preserving cultural connections for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.Support the CLLO to provide Cabinet, Legislation and Liaison services to the Minister, Director-General, Ministerial advisors and senior departmental officers.Provide expert advice on the development of Cabinet, Parliamentary, and Executive Council documents such as Cabinet submissions, Questions on Notice, and other business documentation.Assist in the analysis and coordination of high-volume Cabinet, Legislative, Parliamentary, and Executive Council information and business.Review, critically evaluate, and coordinate the progression of Cabinet Submissions, Briefing Notes, and Executive Council Minutes, including documentation for Community Cabinet activities, possible parliamentary questions, questions on notice, and petitions, and ensure they have been developed in accordance with government guidelines.Review other departments' Cabinet submissions and discussion papers and coordinate the provision of department advice to the Director-General and Minister on impacts on the department's strategic policy agenda.Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with a wide range of people including the Minister, Director-General, Ministerial advisors, Senior departmental officers, and officers from across government.Maintain a strong working knowledge of Cabinet and Parliamentary protocols including the Queensland Cabinet Handbook, legislative processes, and whole-of-Government and departmental policies to ensure compliance.Applications to remain current for 12 months.
