About the Role
The Assistant Business Manager provides support to the Business Manager. The applicant is accountable to the Principal and supervised by the Business Manager. A close working relationship is also vital with all members of the College Executive, faculty leadership team, and support teams. The applicant will have organisational skills to balance the demands of a multi-tasking position with attention to detail and to fulfill commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Key duties include but are not limited to:
Assist with development of detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budget, and resource requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders under the direction of the Business Manager to define project objectives and deliverables. Assist with feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses for proposed projects. Supervise aspects of construction, renovation, and facility upgrade projects. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure the quality and timeliness of work. Assist the Business Manager in processing incident reports and maintaining Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) compliance, including producing monthly, quarterly, and annual WHS reports. Be the Support Staff point of contact with the College Executive event sponsor and coordinate support for College events and functions. Qualifications
ACT Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) Registration. A minimum of a Diploma or Certificate IV in accounting, bookkeeping or related discipline, or advanced study towards such a qualification is required. Selection Criteria
A passion and aptitude for information precision and attention to detail. Be adept with digital technology and an experienced user of Microsoft Windows and Office software suites. The ability to prioritise tasks, manage time, plan, and organise one's own work to ensure deadlines are adhered to and the College's educational needs are fulfilled. The ability to exercise sound judgement, decision making, and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders to build productive working relationships. Highly professional manner and strong interpersonal skills with a courteous, calm, and welcoming demeanour. Work cooperatively within a team environment and also be self-directed and work autonomously without supervision. Demonstrable experience in business administration and project management, and highly competent in the use of current and new systems in accounting, projects and finance. Demonstrable experience in the supervision of quality management systems, document and records management, workplace health and safety, and risk management. Other Eligibility Criteria
