Role Range 4 is distinguished by broader management responsibility, particularly in the areas of finance, human resource and other support functions. Range 4 is responsible for managing a range of functions under a wide range of conditions, subject to the size and complexity of school operations. 
Objectives will, generally, be clearly defined; guidelines will be broad and day-to-day direction minimal. Management responsibility extends to ensuring appropriate support levels are maintained across the school. Range 4 generally provides key support and timely advice to the leadership team and school council and liaises with the general school community, the Department and other government agencies and service providers.
Specialised professional roles will carry a high level of independence and accountability where suitable scope is provided to achieve objectives.
An education support class position supports the educational services being provided to students, but must not include duties of teaching as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic) or its successor. Supervision of students cannot be required except where it is an integral part of the employee¿s position or involves supervision of students individually or in small groups, in controlled circumstances, where the responsibility for students remains clearly with a teacher.
Responsibilities The position involves the supervision of the school administration area in consultation with the Business Manager, ensuring that effective administrative processes and procedures are maintained and enhanced. The position also encompasses a combination of operational and administrative activities, which will generally involve administrative duties such as word processing, reception and support services.
Typical duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
· In consultation with the Business Manager, manage the cash budget processes across the College, including yearly budget and cash flow forecasting
· Supervise the operations of the school¿s administration area in consultation with the Business Manager
· Coordinate the effective administration of the school¿s CASES21 finance and admin systems, including banking, local payroll, taxation, bank reconciliations and monthly reports, accounts payable / receivable, Compass and student and staff records
· Coordinate the effective maintenance of the school¿s Asset Register
· Assist the Business Manager with the management of the maintenance and hiring of the College¿s facilities and equipment in accordance with the policy and guidelines established by the College Council and the Department of Education
· Consult with the Business and Facilities Managers to ensure accuracy of, and compliance with, all routine and conditional maintenance and essential safety measures, ensuring appropriate data is held in in AIMS and contractor compliance is current in SAMS4Schools database
· Undertake a range of tasks relating to the HR functions of the College including induction of casual staff, maintaining accurate WWCC records, processing of leave, file management and other personnel records
Work with the Accounts Receivable officer to assist parents with payment plans, maintain accurate Compass financial records and liaise with parents regarding non-payment, with a view to amicable resolution

We are located in Mont Albert North in the City of Whitehorse. The College has a current enrolment of approximately 1,180 students.
