As the Assistant Director at Goodstart , you'll leverage your expertise and leadership to inspire and motivate your centre team, driving continuous improvement across all areas of centre operations.
Collaborate with our dedicated leadership team, forge respectful and reciprocal relationships with families, and actively engage with the local community networks.
In this role, you will: Support the Centre Director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care Mentor and build capabilities within the centre team Be responsible for the overall management of the centre in the Centre Director's absence Use and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide About Goodstart: View our Facebook community Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Stuart Park is located in the inner Darwin Area along the Stuart Highway.
This makes the centre popular with people who work in Darwin City and for those who work in Palmerston.
Our dedicated staff are warm and friendly and we have a number of staff members who are currently studying for their Certificate III or Diploma of Children's Services.
The staff at Goodstart Stuart Park strive to provide children with learning experiences that encourage and promote their development.
Inside, all of the rooms - from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities.
Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning; and we are focused on ensuring the children are ready to take that all important step up to school.
Outside, our playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces.
We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam.
We are lucky to have a swimming pool which helps us cool down on hot days.
Our children learn where their food comes from first hand on our centre's vegetable patch and children help tend the garden which is enjoyed by all!
