We are currently seeking applications for an Assistant Accountant in a permanent and ongoing Full-Time Monday to Friday position at our Belmont office.
Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for, but not limited to: Live analysis of expenditure against budget and tender, identifying discrepancies and trends. Day to day assisting with the site finance function in relation to statutory reporting and audits. Meeting the operation's end of month reporting timetable. Assisting with estimating processes. Preparing project budgets from tenders. Preparation of budgets, forecasts, financial and management reports. Preparation of variation analysis reports, balance sheet reconciliation and maintain capital expenditure reporting. Active participation in strategic planning and preparation of business plans. Meeting monthly and ad hoc reporting requirements to stakeholders within all areas of the business and to the Board. Maintenance of fixed asset register, monthly plant/inventory costing allocations and reporting. Control of company systems and databases required for the production of performance reports. Analysis and reporting of the company's performance with the aim of implementing business improvement initiatives. Experience required: Strong financial understanding (financial background in either accounting or high level bookkeeping) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Advanced Excel skills. Relevant tertiary qualification (or working towards tertiary qualification) The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment medical assessment including a drug and alcohol screen.
