Assistant Accountant

The Opportunity Well known leading utility company is on the lookout for a strong up and coming Assistant Financial Accountant to join their business.
The Role:    This opening comes about due to continuous expansion and is a great foot in the door to gain more exposure and experience.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include: Overseeing AR/AP processes Supporting year-end/month-end activity Bank reconciliation and maintenance of general ledger Processing of accruals, prepayments, and subsequent journals.
Supporting with forecasting and variance analysis Payments and cleaning out historical data Assisting with fixed asset register Process improvements Ad hoc BAU tasks About you: Minimum 2-4 years experience in a relevant role for a corporate business or similar utilities/energy business Previous experience working in large complex organisations highly regarded.
Excellent written and communications skills Intermediate Excel skills  Power BI nice to have Sounds like you?
