Your function As Assistant Accountant you will be part of a team responsible for completing the monthly results of our four companies, including month end journals, balance sheet reconciliations and month end close documentation and processes.
You will assist with key functions of the Finance team, including supporting Account Payable tasks, assisting with the preparation of submissions to regulators, and play a part in regular controls testing.
This role has exposure to all areas of the Finance team and so flexibility and willingness to be adaptable to change is essential.
You will report to the Senior Financial Accountant.
Day to day As part of the reporting team you will have responsibility for some month end journal processing across all four ANZ companies, including fixed asset depreciation, accruals and prepayments and others.
You will be responsible for many balance sheet reconciliations.
Extract data and run reports from key systems.
Respond to information requests from the business.Support in the timely completion of month end close (MEC) documentation.
Be able to investigate data and identify anomalies.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial records.Become familiar with all accounts payable tasks and support Accounts Payable team member.Sustain and enhance appropriate levels of internal controls in Finance department.
