Assistant Accountant

A fantastic opportunity exists for a talented Assistant Accountant to join a small, high-performing team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will assist the Finance Team in maintaining financial integrity and supporting our business objectives. There will be a range of responsibilities, including:Processing high volumes of payments made to and from our exchange.Performing daily reconciliation of client deposits and withdrawals against bank accounts to ensure accuracy in financial records.Assisting with accounts payable including processing, payments, dealing with supplier queries and managing approvals.Supporting the month-end closing process.Assisting the wider Finance team with ad-hoc tasks.Collaborating with other departments to drive process improvements and operational efficiency.This role is available for immediate commencement for the successful applicantAbout youSkills and experience we are ideally looking for:Minimum 2+ years of experience in an Assistant Accountant role or similarRelevant tertiary qualification in accounting. Ideally has partially completed their CA/CPA or has an intention to obtain it, however this is not essential.Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles and knowledge of general accounting procedures.Proven ability to independently undertake bank reconciliations.High level of attention to detail is essential.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business needs.Other skills and experience that would be ideal but are not essentialInterest in/knowledge of the Crypto industry.Previous experience within Fintech or financial servicesWhat we offerA competitive salary.A challenging and rewarding role in the dynamic crypto industry.A winning, fun, hard-working team.An international work environment where your opinion counts.Ongoing learning and support.Great career development opportunities in a growing company.This is an in-office role, 5 days a week.
