We value the importance of balance between work and family life and promote this philosophy throughout the company.The Role:As an Assistant Accountant, you will effectively assist with the day-to-day accounting and admin functions.Your Responsibilities:Bank reconciliations of multiple companies and accounts in multiple currenciesProcess month end journals and intercompany reallocationsMonthly general ledger reconciliations and maintaining financial recordsPrepare GST returns and tax compliance documentationPrepare other government reporting as requiredSupport budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis for business unitsAssist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reportsConduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actionsHelp prepare for audits and ensure compliance with financial policies and proceduresProvide general administrative support to the finance teamExperience / Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Commerce or a related fieldAt least 3 years of work experience in accountingPrevious work experience in a similar roleStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsConstruction/Infrastructure industry experience (Desirable)
