Assistant Accountant70 – 75,000 + superannuation, full-time permanent opportunity.Sydney Olympic Park office location.Immediately available opportunity for a well-loved for-purpose organisation.Role ResponsibilitiesReporting into the Head of Finance, this role handles accounts payables and receivables, and actively collaborates across the team to ensure financial compliance, month-end processes, and reporting.Daily bank reconciliations.Gather invoices, obtain approval, process invoices using Xero and upload to bank for approval and payment.Be responsible for accounts payables/receivables, addressing internal and external account enquiries and providing timely and professional customer service.Checking credit card transactions against receipt, receiving approval and processing transactions onto Xero.Support with month-end activities, preparing and posting journals, performing reconciliations, resolving any discrepancies.Manage BAS activities and account reconciliations.Prepare monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.Essential RequirementsTertiary Qualifications in Finance or Accounting or equivalent.Previous experience in a similar finance role, with an understanding of tax and other business obligations regarding accounts.Strong Excel skills and aptitude across the Microsoft Office suite, and experience using Xero.Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.Positive attitude and a growth mindset when taking on feedback.Process-driven working style, with the ability to manage competing priorities and timelines without losing attention to detail.How to ApplyTo be considered for this position please apply now with your resume directly through the advertisement.
