We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Accountant to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of financial policies related to Shared Service Center (SSC) activities.
As a member of the SSC GL and Financial Reporting team, this role will be a key liaison between our agency representatives and our internal team to enforce stringent financial protocols relative to the duties outlined below.
SSC employees are responsible for maintaining the control environment for all agency partners to ensure accuracy and timeliness for our accounting and reporting needs.
The ideal candidate is expected to bring superior collaboration skills to the team and should be well versed in operating within an environment that prioritizes compliance and control.

What you'll do: Review journal entries with appropriate backupPrepare monthly P&L variance analysis for multiple agenciesPropose journal entries to the Agency/Shared Service Center for review & approvalPrepare Hyperion Financial Management walk to Microsoft D365 trial balance to ensure there are no topside entriesReconcile Ghost Cards, I/C, OFANZ account (In House Bank), A/R, A/P, F/A, PPD and miscellaneous other Balance sheet accountsReconcile WIP/Unbilled AR/Customer Advances-create journal entries for correctionsPrepare all working capital schedules in Hyperion Financial ManagementPrepare Internal Reporting Package schedules in Hyperion Financial Management on a quarterly basisUpload Financial Reporting Package results in Hyperion Financial Management monthlyOther duties as neededWhat you've got: Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance highly regardedCA / CPA qualifications highly regarded (or working towards this)D365 experience is ideal, but is not essentialStrong interest in learning and developingSolid experience in collaboration, flexibility and diplomacyGood research and problem-solving techniquesAbility to communicate in a clear and concise mannerConfidence to ask for answers when you have questionsDeadline/goal orientedSelf-starter - ability to prioritize tasks with aggressive deadlinesAbility to understand business concepts and issues as well as technical systems processesPlease note: All applicants must have the right to work in Australia.
