Clemenger Group LimitedAssistant AccountantClemenger BBDO are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our Melbourne (CBD) based finance team in a freelance capacity until the end of the year.As Assistant Accountant, you will have 2+ years of experience and be responsible for supporting financial processes within the organisation. Working as part of our national team and directly with our Finance Director across five agencies within the Clemenger Group, you will support and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the Finance team and contribute to maintaining accurate financial records.In doing this you will need to embrace and demonstrate the following attitudes and approaches to your work:Attention to Detail: Ability to spot numerical errors.Organizational Skills: Efficiently manage tasks and maintain accuracy.Team Player: Collaborate effectively with colleagues.Ability to prioritise financial tasks and the determination to see tasks through to the end.Core responsibilities:Clients / Accounts ReceivableAssist with job reconciliations.Assist with debtors – following up on payments for outstanding invoices.Billings for high volume clients.Accounts PayableManagement of House expense invoices.Credit Card Reconciliations.Vendor Queries/Troubleshooting.OtherFinance inbox management.Other ad-hoc reporting.Requirements:Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.Two years of relevant experience.What you'll be responsible for:Payroll Administration: Accurately process employee payroll, calculate payments, and resolve discrepancies while ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.Accounts Payable and Receivable Management: Maintain and update accounts payable and receivable, issue invoices and undertake reconciliations.Administrative Support: Ensure smooth operations by collaborating with others to complete various tasks, organizing information, and coordinating schedules.Skills you'll need:Written communication: Writes in a clear and structured format to convey information and ideas effectively to a target audience.Numerical problem solving: Works with numerical information and performs mathematical calculations to solve problems.Attention to detail: Accurately identifies and rectifies discrepancies or errors that exist in information and deliverables.
