Assistant Accountant

You'll be seen as an integral part of the Finance team and the month-end related processes. You will be required to obtain a thorough understanding of the Xero business environment and will assist in ensuring Xero meets the accounting requirements that arise by virtue of being a listed issuer.
What you'll do:Complete daily bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving identified differences.Support the wider team over the month end process, including processing journal entries.Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, looking into and resolving any variances.Support the financial accounting team with the preparation of Xero's interim and annual reports.Develop an excellent understanding of finance systems, including Netsuite, Blackline and Xero.Provide ad-hoc support to the wider finance team as required.What you'll bring with you:Either a recent accounting degree graduate or experience in an entry level accounting role.Proven knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.High academic achiever.Google Sheets / Excel experience.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.Highly organised and a proven self-starter.Strong problem solving capabilities.Excellent communication skills.A genuine team player. #J-18808-Ljbffr
