You will play a pivotal role in upholding these Values and contributing to our collective success.We are currently seeking an Assistant Accountant to join the Commercial Department at the Super Pit mine in Kalgoorlie.
This is a residential role on a 5/2:4/3 Roster, working 9-hour days.Sitting within the Commercial function, the Assistant Accountant provides support for accounting services and advice to onsite departments, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with applicable compliance obligations.Key tasks may include, but are not limited to: Assist with month end accounting processes including transaction review, cost review, cost reporting and trend analysis.Prepare bank reconciliations, Intercompany reconciliation, GRNI reconciliation, and manage accounts receivable.Assist with the preparation of site wide budgets and quarterly forecasts, and present information to various stakeholders.Maintain the capital module within Pronto including Work Breakdown Structures and end of month reconciliations and maintain the fixed asset register within Pronto.Essential:Tertiary qualification in Accounting.Intermediate level computer literacy in the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel).Previous experience in a role managing priorities, communicating across multiple levels in an organisation.Must reside locally in the Goldfields.National Police Clearance less than twelve (12) months.Current Unencumbered Western Australian "C" Class Drivers Licence.Preferred:Previous experience preferably within the Mining Industry.Working experience in the use of Pronto Financials Software, or similar ERP.Discover the perks of working at Northern Star:Company subsidised GU Health Insurance.Gold Price Variable bonus incentive.Short-term incentive bonus program.Employee Share Plan programs.Gold standard parental leave policy.GoldSTARR rewards program - cash savings for everyday expenses.Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) that includes free, confidential counselling and wellbeing services.Salary continuance (income protection) insurance from commencement.Salary sacrificing benefits, including novated leasing and remote area living benefit options.Eligibility:Candidates must meet our pre-employment criteria which includes a medical, drug and alcohol screening, relevant right to work and valid Australian national police clearance.Northern Star is an equal opportunity employer committed to achieving a diverse and inclusive workforce.
