About the Position
The Assistant Accountant will work alongside the Management Accountant and Project Finance and Business Intelligence Manager to support the accounting and business needs of the organisation. The role will enable the successful candidate to work across all aspects of the finance and accounting function including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, stock management, reconciliations and management reporting for the business.
You should be able to demonstrate a high attention to detail and efficiency in accurately processing data, ensuring the integrity of financial records and reports.
Tasks Include:
Ensuring the general ledger is up to date, complete and accurate Sub-ledger maintenance, control and reporting Fixed asset register maintenance and reporting Assisting in formulating budgetary and accounting policies Preparing financial statements for presentation to management, board, shareholders, governing and statutory bodies Conducting financial investigations, preparing reports, undertaking audits and advising on matters such as the purchase and sale of businesses, mergers, capital financing, suspected fraud, insolvency and taxation Examining operating costs and organisations' income and expenditure Providing assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements Introducing and maintaining accounting systems, and advising on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems Maintaining internal control systems May appraise cash flow and financial risk of capital investment project Documenting task instructions/business processes Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 per year
