Assistant Accountant

Autosports Group is looking for a committed Assistant Accountant to join our team.
This role will be responsible for supporting the accurate and timely collection, preparation, and reporting on all transactions.
Based at our dealership in Leichhardt, you will be reporting to the Financial Controller.

Some specific responsibilities of the role include:
Processing of new and used car deals Processing daily banking, including daily cash, cheques, and EFTPOS banking Preparing monthly general ledger reconciliations Preparing and processing refunds & other transactional items Assisting in the timely completion of month-end procedures Assisting in the preparation of financial year-end and preparing all relevant supporting documentation for the auditors and any other ad-hoc year-end requirements The ideal candidate will have:
A degree/diploma in Accounting or a related field is preferred 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance Proficiency/Experience with accounting software (e.g., Pentana Era, Xero, MoneyWorks, iBodyshop) is beneficial, but not essential Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel Please note, criminal background checks may be required for this position.
