Assistant Accountant

Applications are invited for an Assistant Accountant to join the MSF Sugar team on a full-time permanent basis. This opportunity is located at our Corporate Head Office in Gordonvale, which is approximately 20km south of Cairns.
The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for assisting with financial and management reporting to support the business operations and the finance team to achieve overall company accounting objectives.
This position welcomes Junior candidates who are keen to develop their skills and gain practical knowledge with the goal of being an accountant. Candidates with current accounting experience are also encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will have: Bachelor of Business/Commerce (Accounting).Experience in bookkeeping/accounting from a Commerce or Public Accounting Firm.Ability to build and maintain key relationships with internal staff members and external stakeholders eg. Auditors, Tax Advisors, or the ATO/ABS.High attention to detail.Experience in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).Ability to understand and explain accounting concepts.Proactive nature and problem-solving ability (investigation, analysis, and decisiveness).If you're a reliable, self-motivated, and organised individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and achieving team goals, we'd love you to apply.
