Assistant Accountant

We have a new opportunity for an experienced Assistant Accountant in Bunbury.
Reporting to South West Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the information in the P&L's is accurate.
Communication with all Stakeholders will be critical to this role to meet end of month deadlines!
Specific Responsibilities Managing the P&L and balance sheet information is accurateAnalyse financial data and monitor KPI'sSupervise the input and handling of data into the financial systemEnsure all other input to the central accounting system are received and processed in an accurate and timely mannerMeet month end reporting deadlinesBalance sheet reconciliationsRaise & issue debtor invoicesPrepare weekly forecasts, consolidate results to meet forecasting deadlinesPrepare annual budgetsIdentify, assess and report all known and newly identified hazards and incidents in the workplaceImplement effective risk controlsParticipate in the monitoring, review and evaluation of implemented risk controlsQualifications and Experience Minimum of 3 years' experience in an accounting roleAccounting degree.
Preferable CPA or CA qualified or studying towards qualificationsStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of peopleAdvanced skills using Microsoft Office and ExcelAbility to work autonomously using a proactive approach to task resolutionHigh organisational skills and attention to detailAbility to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environmentAbility to work well within a small team environmentIf this sounds like the job for you please "Apply Now" or call Mel for a confidential discussion.
